My name is Ammon McIntyre, and I love playing the piano. As a homeschooler, I have been able to fall in love with music and then learn more about it. One of the things that helped me fall in love with piano was all of the different learning methods. You can have a teacher, an app, YouTube, a book, and much more. I decided to try a lot of them. I got two teachers, Piano Marvel, and Youtube. I found that the most effective tool was Piano Marvel. If something came up that I needed to go to, I could go to it without worrying about missing out on any skill or lesson. I like the adaptability of Piano Marvel because it lets me learn at my own pace. I can change the tempo of any song, practice with real-time feedback, and have lessons that are fun!
I have been playing piano for over two and a half years now, and I have been using Piano Marvel for the vast majority of that time. As a homeschooler, I have had a flexible schedule, and Piano Marvel has complemented that amazingly. When something came up I have been able to change when I practice.
One of the things that helped me with Piano Marval was how the lessons were actually entertaining. My family's most common argument became about who got the most Piano Marvel time.
The downsides I found were that there were no posture lessons and no instructions on where to have my hands angled or when to pedal. Other than that, I have really enjoyed using Piano Marvel. It really complements homeschooling.
